

Rangoon Government House: Established in 1885 as the seat of the British colonial government in Burma. Became the presidential residence post-independence before being demolished in 1985 after being damaged in an earthquake.

Richfield Tower: Established in 1929, Los Angeles as headquarters of Richfield Oil. The structure was designed to be black and gold to symbolize petroleum as “black gold”. It was demolished in 1969 after the company had outgrown the building.

The Hollywood Hotel: Established in 1902, famous for its long list of celebrity occupants, was torn down in 1956 after decades of decline.
