
The old Central Post Office in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was built in the french renaissance style in 1873 as the first building constructed for this purpose. It was vacated in 1925 when a new building was completed and was ultimately demolished in 1942. The shipowner Transatlantic took its place.

Possibly the only photo of the birthplace of tycoon Cornelius Vanderbilt in Port Richmond, Staten Island, New York. Now the site of a Chinese restaurant. Demolished before 1920.

Dismantling the Palais de l’Industrie – an iron and glass exhibition hall built for the Paris World Fair in 1855. Taken down in 1897 to clear space for the Grand Palais of the 1900 World Fair.
