I am so sad that this view and the old city doesn’t exist any more. It looks so damn good and stylish. My appt is full of large NYC in the 1930’s pictures.

Wow, according to wiki, it even generated its own power using its own boiler plant—that blows me away to think that buildings had their own power plants.
It was also the first to convert from coal to oil.
