This is probably the most famous german caste, the Schloss Neuschwanstein near Füssen in southern Germany. Tones of tourists come here each year to enjoy this breathtaking scenery. As this was my second time in this region I wanted to get a different perspective of the Castle (without using a drone) so I explored the areas around it but always ended up at some cliffs or really steep hills where it would be too dangerous to go one. So this is the closest I got to the castle with a clear view of the front!
500 years ago when Germany was splintered into small states, someone would climb that tall mountain and be lookout for enemy movements. When he would see something troublesome, he would light an enormous pre-set fire to alert the castle below.
I just made that up but I just figured that would be pretty cool LOTR style
