Restoration Hardware on Boylston St in Boston. Once the original site of the Museum of Science, it’s absolutely one of my favorite buildings in all of the city. [4000×2670]
It’s gorgeous, and the the landscaping is to die for.

It’s a beautiful building and although it is a store now, they do it justice by having it staged with gorgeous furniture. Id prefer if to be a cultural center of some kind, but It’s just nice to be able to walk through it and see the interior still.

Hey, this is right next to me. I don’t know why, but MA furniture stores are very, I don’t know, extra. Like, at the normal, middle class one, it’s half a theme park. They’ve got laser shows and IMAX theaters. At Christmas they turn the place into a huge Santa’s village with a Polar Express movie where your seat moves along with the film. One of them has a ropes course.
So, by contrast, cannibalizing the Museum of Natural History is understated and tasteful, really.
