Pierce’s Palace Hotel. Buffalo, NY. (1877-1880) Located at the corner of Prospect and Porter Ave., the place was half hotel, half hospital. Selling points included Russian/Turkish baths, a billiards room, and bowling alley. It was destroyed in a fire. This site is now occupied by D’Youville College.

    I’m loving all of the Buffalo buildings on this sub lately. It’s such an old city with so many different architectural styles mixed in.

    I’ve seen quite a few buildings from Buffalo lately. I’m a native New Yorker but have never been there. Sad that those beauties are no longer around but it makes me curious about what else is up there.

    Wow! The thumbnail image is what I believe is called an [Autostereogram](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autostereogram). With the correct viewing technique it is a 3D image. Try crossing your eyes until a 3rd building appears in between the 2 already there, then try to focus on it. If you’ve done it right it’s 3D!
