That’s the Lavirotte building at no 29. A very striking display of Art Nouveau architecture. The floors above the second are also also look incredible, I’m personally a fan of the balcony on the 4th floor

Other, plainer doors scoff dismissively: “Oh sure… but she’s trying to hard”

There’s definitely a boss fight behind that door

Literally architecture porn. I need some naked people carvings around my front door like this!

The door low-key looks like Predator

    Pic for reference

I love intricate detail like this. When economists talk about automation and the loss of jobs in the future, I hope they are wrong. I hope we let the machines do the work we do not care to do and instead we become artists and craftsmen and that we will seek to have not just cheap efficient things in our lives but instead we will start desiring to have beautiful things in our lives. We will want the hand tailored suit, the chair that took 20 hours to carve, the doorway that is over the top detailed and inspiring even hundreds of years later. I hope machine made things start to seem cheap and people will value items made by craftsmen instead.
