

Belfast Castle – Northern Ireland – Belfast Castle was built on Cave Hill overlooking Belfast with construction starting in 1862 and not ending until 1870. Architect John Lanyon designed the building in the then-popular Scottish baronial style. Construction cost well over the ₤11,000.
