Source The ancient Dunluce Castle was once a symbol of power, built at the edge of a basalt cliff overlooking the Irish Sea. During a storm in 1639, part of the castle fell into the sea and the building was abandoned. Today, the ruins on the edge of the cliffs are a dramatic sight.
Source Tilbury Fort, River Thames (Essex), UK . The UK doesn’t have many star forts. By drone the outer moat and other earthworks can clearly be seen. There are other forts on the Thames between London and the English Channel, but this is the largest. English Heritage owns the site.
