    More pics and information.

Edit: The article is very detailed and provides a lot of history. Definitely worth a read if you’re an architecture enthusiast.

Very nice, and Sydney would be a perfect place for such a design – lots of great sites (if you can afford them)

This house was once home of Tom Uren, a prominent Australian politician who passed away in 2015. As a layperson to Australian politics I can’t say what kind of reputation he has, but he seemed to have spent a lot of his time after retirement generally advocating for good stuff. Built nearly three decades ago, the house is quite modest relative to the other submissions in this house. The high ceiling has a lantern like shape from the outside and from the inside it makes the house feel more airy. Here’s a wider shot. Some of the wooden beam structures are exposed. Finally, the bedroom also has quite a view.
