These shipping container designs are like the recipe books from the 1970s where everything has mayonnaise in it. Nobody wants that. Stop it.

A metal house is hotter than hell in the summer. The AC would never turn off during daylight here.

The desert seems like the worst possible place for a container house. I encourage anyone to look up the problems with these things. Basically to make it as comfortable and safe as a normal house costs the same or more compared to conventional construction. At least they painted it white.
Edit: Apparently this one isn’t even real. My point still stands about the problems with container houses.

This is a render. It hasn’t actually been built yet. Or even started building.

That’s a hell of a lot of surface area for a house in an inhospitable climate. Give me a nice thick dome instead. Better yet, a double dome, or some kind of passive cooling system like a windcatcher or Trombe wall. Nobody needs this energy sucker. Thank goodness it’s only a render.
Funny how these renders always stick a building out in the middle of nowhere with no access to utilities.

The energy to build this house would be much better used elsewhere.

I am like a thousand percent sure that will leak somewhere. I guess in the desert it’s less of a concern?
