In my opinion it does not blend well with the environment.
Also the lack of symmetry between the two sides of the river feels a bit odd.

It’s pretty impressive when seen from down the river like this- I haven’t been quite so wowed by some of the other angles but on the balance I like it.
I think its strength lies in how alien it is to its surroundings, how dramatic and bold it is. It’s a bit of a sculpture, a modern folly, so it gets away with being a little one-note. Tbh I wish it had been designed by competition, it’s a very interesting brief and I would have been interested to see what some other architects had done with it.
