That’s a lot of effort and expense to put into a joke that can only be appreciated from the air and on the architect’s model. The little park/greenway is nice, but it seems like you could get all of the benefits of this, or more for the same price without all of the funky angles.
EDIT: Seriously. Can we have a little discussion here? What benefit does this funky design have for the daily users of the structure? (I don’t mean the concert venue itself, but the building in front that shows the ‘crash landing’ path.) Is structuring a whole buillding around an architectural joke that can’t really be appreciated by most users, does nothing to improve their experience and, when informed of it, might elicit a small chuckle… really the best thing to do here?
