I wonder what happened to the Tiffany glass dome. It would be a damned shame if they didn’t preserve it.

This looks so similar to the Tiffany dome at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia.

I was trying to look up what happened to the stained glass but I found this beautifully sweet article about the history of the hotel all the way up to the people who showed up every day to watch it get torn down. Lots of fun stories from the locals about its heydays.

The first ever commissioned Tiffany glass dome is still in use at the Hudson Theater in NYC. It’s a beautiful piece, can’t image the beauty that this bigger one would have been.
