This Michigan-based rustic indoor/outdoor room has all the amenities that make it the favorite room in the house on nice Summer days and snowy Winter nights. [6720×4480]
I’ve been dreaming about something like this for a while, functionally. It is interesting to see it in practice. Do you have more details about the use of this space in each season? Where can I learn more about the design and pragmatics of use? Thanks in advance

Couple interesting features to this room:
The hand hewn beams on the ceiling were reclaimed from a 100+ year old Michigan barn.
The fireplace is constructed from Hudson Valley, NY stone found only in the “Gunks” region. This conglomerate stone has a very unique texture and appearance. The mantle is a single stone weighing over 1,000 pounds and the hearth is also a single stone weighing over 2,000 pounds.
The floor is full color, dimensional blue stone. The floor is heated with radiant heating.
The antique leaded window dates back to the 1600’s and was reclaimed from a Belgium residence. All but two of the glass pieces are original, with several containing horse hairs that were embedded during the original manufacturing process. The window also has an original leather bi-fold shutter and original hardware.
