The architect wanted to solve a problem that was going on in many cities especially Chicago where birds(most of them migrating) will mistaken a glass building as open space and only to hit and fall in the impact. The architect decided to create a wave pattern to reflect Lake Michigan and also that birds can recognize the building and avoid it. I always love this building and it’s story behind it!
