Rambling, wooden-sided Victorian(-ish) buildings like this are one of my favorite things about beach towns up and down the East Coast. I know Ocean City is not exactly a historic gem; cheap fun, commerce and constant change are a part of its character . . . but I will miss this building. The atmosphere of fried food, salt air, and hot asphalt has a place in memory!

Ugh what a fucking shame. Buildings simply don’t have the character and charm they used to anymore. Probably going to be replaced by some bland ass box with grey vinyl siding

They took it down?!?! I recognized the building right away. Damn what a shame.

I grew up in MD and spent my summers in Ocean City – I don’t remember this specific property but there are others and it’s a very harsh climate to maintain this type of construction. Not surprised but still sad
