The Old Toronto Star Building, Toronto, Ont., Canada. Originally located at 80 King St. West, the Art Deco office tower was the hq of the Toronto Star newspaper from 1929-1970. It was demolished in 1972 to make way for the First Canadian Place tower.

    Was there organized opposition to its destruction or did people just accept it as progress? Amazing what went down 1950-1980 in the name of progress!
