Here is a primary source from an American newspaper back when it happened. It’s a good read for anyone interested in the holocaust.

I ditto the dissing on building 2.

But my architectural curiosity is peaked. The top floor. Do you think it was original or added later?

Like Steele Hall at Dartmouth College?

You’d think they could have actually commemorated it, rather than complete the job the Nazis did and just build over it. That was one of the weird things about walking around Berlin and bang, suddenly something awful has happened here, with plaque up like depressing London blue plaques.

“Here we have the former Reichsministry of finance.”

“Contained within this apartment complex is one of the first Nazi interrogation and detention centers. People living in the neighborhood could here the screams coming from this set of buildings.”

The first building looks like an old church from the 1500’s or so architecturally.
