The new synagoge in Wroclaw (the former Breslau). It was build in 1872 and burned down by the Nazis in 1938. Once it was one of the biggest synagoges in Germany.

    Breslau was hit hard by the war, but this synagogue seems to be one of the saddest losses. I wish more synagogues had been rebuilt after the war.

    So much art and culture destroyed by fascism, not to mention the millions of lives lost in war and genocide. None of it needed to happen.
