incredibly, despite all the funding at MIT, there are really only two elevators to service nine floors — there’s also an elevator reserved for service folks and the handicapped, but since it’s reserved for the handicapped it’s pretty bad form to use it. consequently, getting anywhere other than the ground floor can take upward of ten minutes during busy times.
incredibly, too, it leaks horribly, so when it rains or there’s extensive snowmelt you’ll see blue recycling bins posted up at seemingly random spots to catch the water
