    The Sherry Netherland replaced this, which is taller and isn’t a bad looking building at all. Still a shame such a beautiful building was demolished so soon after construction.

    It’s such a shame very little of this exists anymore, it feels like .. a steampunk version of Parisian/ Beaux Arts architecture inEurope. Just stretched out from 4 floors to 10 or 20.

    Not the awnings. It would be interesting to see a pic from when they were all open to protect from sun.

    Again and again I am amazed by the clarity of these photographs. Glass plates are so good for architectural photography
