The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis – St. Louis, MO – Completed in 1914 in the Neo-Byzantine Romanesque Revival style by architect Thomas P. Barnett. The Cathedral Basilica is known for its large mosaic installation which is one of the largest in the Western Hemisphere.

    This building is on my block!! St. Louis has so many amazing churches (many have seen better days). This one is beautiful in person as well

    Beautiful church. It’s so surreal to see the elaborate Byzantine style mosaics depicting modern technology and modern English text (among more traditional subjects)
