The Bucket of Blood Saloon. Hastings and Clinton streets in Detroit MI. The toughest bar in turn of the century Detroit was a hotbed for gambling, prostitution, loud music and frequent gun and knife fights. Demolished in the early 1960’s for I 375.
Ziribbit says Thanks for the share. I live in the area. I can only imagine what that place was like when it was popping. Grim, gritty.
skibble says OP, I’m gonna upvote this cool post even though I don’t feel like any architecture was lost. 😉
matt_the_non-binary says Hastings St. was almost, if not completely wiped out for I-375. A lot was lost.
tallyrand says Now it’s bad enough that there was gambling, prostitution, and frequent gun and knife fights. But loud music? That’s going too far.

Maybe they’ll bring it back when MDOT fills in 375 in a few years
