The breathtaking Pillar Hall in the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai,India.The mandapam contains 985 delicately carved pillars. Most of them depict mythological chimeras, amongst others creatures with elephant heads and lion boddies.The liquid impression results from reflections of the polished floor.
