I know many will hate this thing, but I personally think it’s pretty cool. The ruins seem to be in very poor condition anyway, and the world is full of castles in better condition. This restoration actually gives this castle some recognition it otherwise wouldn’t get.
Personally I really don’t like it. Now, I understand it needed to be stabilized and secured, but I feel the modern expression is too heavy and take to much space/attention. If the reason was only to stabilize and show the size I feel different materials, like steel, glass and wood, or a lighter expression would be better.
Now it only looks like a modern art piece, and personally I think it would’ve been better to just let it continue to fall into ruins if that was the only two options.
But that is of course just my personal opinion after only seeing a couple of pics.

I wonder if it’s the same architect (or inspired by the person) who did the Spanish Embassy in Washington, DC. [It’s a high-rise “hidden” behind some old townhomes.](http://www.exteriores.gob.es/Embajadas/WASHINGTON/en/PublishingImages/EmbassyFacebookCover%20%282%29.jpg) I’ve always liked the look of it.
