    Can’t tell if this was built in this style as a Starbucks or if Starbucks moved into an older building.

    I’m only familiar with “Tatami” being flooring. What does tatami style mean??

    There are a couple of Starbucks which blend into their classic Japanese setting. There’s one near me by Izumo Grand Shrine which does a great job of mixing styles and has a lot of relevant symbolism
