Abstract: Consecrated in 1968, St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral is the first North American cathedral and diocesan house under the jurisdiction of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, which is the central governing body of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The Eastern Diocese at St. Vartan is led by an Archbishop, referred to as the Primate, and it has jurisdiction over all American States except for California, Arizona, Nevada, and Washington.
