« Barrell Mansion on Pleasant Hill, Charlestown (later Somerville), MA / built 1792, one of Charles Bulfinch’s first commissions. Bought by John McLean in 1816 and opened as the McLean Asylum, the first hospital in New England. Razed sometime after 1895 when McLean Hospital moved to Belmont.
