The iconic Sony Building in Tokyo’s Ginza district was designed by architect Yoshinobu Ashihara and construction was completed in 1966. The building was torn down after its 50th anniversary , in 2017. Unsure of Japanese heritage/significant building laws but I feel that it should have been largely kept

I was actually in this building during 2016 playing with their products in their Sony showroom. The staff there told me the building was going to be demolished soon.
