I LOVE sunken areas in rooms, but I don’t get this one – looks like a random hole in the middle of the floor. What would have been so much cooler is a half circle that butted up against the wall with windows going all the way down. (I can’t tell if there is space to do that without hitting the deck.) That way, you would be immersed in the view outside.
