I wonder who’ll pay for the construction. Karstadt has got no money and the city of Berlin has got even less.

That reminds me of the Battersea Power Station in London that is currently being redeveloped.

Berlin is doing an amazing job in rebuilding/recreating lost architecture. I think it’s great, but I can see, however, why there is often criticism by Berliners about the financing of these projects. The Hohenzollern palace comes to mind, for example.
