I’d love to hear a bit about the costs you’ve incurred getting materials and access to the building site. I’m heavily considering a piece of property off a barely accessible road (classified as a legal trail, but not sure what that translates to in Canada. Basically a muddy narrow nightmare only accessible by true 4×4). Are you planning to get the cabin insured?
It has a similar stream that would require a crossing of some type, and a small starter cabin already on site. I’m trying to work out whether it’s a terrible idea to get a bargain on the land only to incur heavy costs getting building materials and improving the trail. Very jealous of your progress!
