Just a few weeks ago, I watched “Metropolis” (1927) in the Babylon Cinema in Berlin, the only remaining silent movie cinema with an in-house orchestra. The architecture of the city was obviously highly influenced by exactly this skyline.
It’s such an iconic cityscape and the colorization is simply amazing!
