Sheraton in Downtown Denver designed by the late I.M. Pei [4000×6016]

« John Hejduk’s Wall House II in Groningen, Netherlands
The old Casino. Asbury Park, NJ. At top how I remember it growing up (torn down circa 2006/7) and at bottom in it’s original glory (turn of the 20th century) my home town lost architecture. »

I shot this photo earlier this spring as I was walking around downtown Denver on a rainy day. I thought the building had a cool design and after shooting and editing I took some time to learn about the history of the building, the architecture, and the man behind it all. I never would have known of I.M. Pei if it weren’t for this picture, and now I know the architecture world lost an icon.
