If you look at the merlons of the main fortress you can see a vaguely familiar shape if you’re Russian. They have the same design as the Kremlin’s ones, the design is called swallows tail.

I thought it was on the edge of a sea and it stuck me it looked in good condition given what tides & winds can do. However, it is on a lake.
