I find it odd that it is associated with being modern when it just looks like the interior of a cold war era abandoned military installation. Brutalism..not exactly the best choice for residential. also a little sad because this would definitely look exactly the same from the exterior.

What do you call the concrete cladding? Are they pieces like tiles or is it poured in place? How prone are they to cracking?

Looks like a metro station with some furniture in it. Cold and decidedly not homely.
