    This rotunda, 120 feet in diameter, was a Rococo-style concert and event venue in the Ranelagh Pleasure Gardens. The central “pillar “housed fireplaces to heat the venue in winter. This view of the structure was painted by Canaletto in 1754.

    It would be funny if the demolished it not because it was a relic of history hidden, but rather because the rotunda was 2 inches off center. lol.
