One thing to keep in mind about any World’s Fair or other exhibition building, they were often built quite cheaply and quickly and not made to last. In my opinion, every post on this sub comes with an expectation of sad nostalgia which is often not appropriate, especially in cases like these. This building was made to be lost.
What I do like about stuff like this is that it make you question the idea of "lost". Whether it is eventually renovated or completely destroyed, we should think of great architecture at not as stalwart and infinite, but always as ultimately temporary, like the building above highlights.
