Jesus. Reminds me of the American mcmansions with their hundred different roofs all connecting at weird angles.
But Parisian.

This is interesting. It doesn’t seem that unusual to me, the building itself. It’s pretty classically Parisian. The Mansard roofs, red brick, tall instead of wide, edging details, etc. I think what makes it strange is it’s context. It’s an old building situated between two newer buildings (or one long building behind it). That always creates an uncanny sort of sensation. It’s a dark building betwixt light ones. It’s got articulated surfaces rich with information while the flanking buildings are more planar and streamlined. I think these buildings together are unusual, not the brick building alone. Those cabinesque boys on top are pretty interesting though, for sure. I wonder what the purpose of those rooms is.
