So stunning. Italy is just an abundant treasure trove of beautiful works

Been there. The front doors are amazing.

Imagine if schools were built with this level of detail and beauty instead of the throw-away, penitentiary designs the ones in the USA are built. Beauty of space affects the mind positively. I loved some of my college’s old buildings, always something to catch the eye.

I studied architecture in Orvieto for a semester. Awesome town! I believe this picture is actually from the entrance to the school. My apartment was just down the street. And we played a lot cards in the grass just out of frame to the right.

One of the only places in the plaza you can get the entire facade. Great shot. Took 300 years to build, longer than America has existed. We need to start thinking multi-generationally again.

I’ve sat in front of this while eating prosciutto, cheese and olives. Orvieto is a “hidden” gem.

Orvieto was my favorite little town in Italy, beautiful architecture and views on top of the mountain

I visited Orvieto on our honeymoon, had no idea what to expect then this church happened. Honestly the most beautiful church I have ever seen. And I’ve seen hundreds all over Europe. Also check it out from a bit further: https://www.wikiwand.com/it/Duomo_di_Orvieto
