In many cases the 60s ended up bad for classical architecture, modernisation was the thing really. Am sure they feel sorry now in Eindhoven.

Can anyone shed light on the rationale for doing this in this case? I mean, even in 1967 somewhere like the Netherlands had an understanding of heritage and history, surely? Surely there was significant protest and/or some kind of really pressing reason they needed to get rid of it?

Didn’t think i’d see my city here but it makes sense. Eindhoven suffered from a very bad case of the “innovation”. The city looks so depressing now compared to what used to be.
