The rounded building on the right is really eye catching and certainly not there now.
The current state of canal street is fairly depressing with all the crappy stores. At least there seems to be a revival of sorts going on that doesn’t save the architecture but does at least make better use of a once-great street.

I was right there last year, the architecture is still amazing in the Quarter.
