Is this one of those hotels where your room has the dimensions of a coffin? I always wanted to try one of those although I assume it’d be uncomfortable once the novelty wears off.

I was in Tokyo last week and went to see this thing. It looks more run-down in person! Water and electricity lines hanging from random capsules. There’s a 7-11 style mart underneath and there seemed to be people in the building so it’s not totally uninhabited.

ive been there, the apartments are pretty shitty but they’re ancient, i think there are people renovating it now but its been a few years. I remember seeing a guy trying to turn his apartment into a rental unit (i.e. airbnb) but the amount of money he wanted was so astronomical that it was laughed at instantly, mostly because how run down the inside of them are (though still livable!) the outside is the best part.
