My holiday project, built-in bookshelves sourced from Ikea [2582×1200]

window seat is framed out in 2x4s with lots of corner braces and covered in 1/2" MDF and more trim. Ripped the seat about 4" in and added a piano hinge to take advantage of the (unfinished) space below for storage.
Had to extend the floor vent through the window seat with a 90º elbow and some rectangular stack duct trimmed to fit perfectly.
