It does look like they used dead/dried tree logs for ease of constructability and long range consistency, but I do agree it is not in the spirit of a true tree house. I love the design and and the composition, and I would LOVE to wake up and spend time with my friends and family here.

It looks very nice and is probably some sort of vacation home. the actual trees seem to be purely ornamental and not a part of the structure. Steel beams seem to be carrying the weight.
Still looks nice though!
