Masonic Temple at the corner of Tremont St. and Temple Place, Boston. Built 1832, designed by Isaiah Rogers, gothic revival, rough hewn granite, later used as a courthouse.

    It may have been pragmatic, but I really don’t like the idea of a former Mason Temple/Lodge being re-purposed as a Court House.

    You can see [St. Paul’s](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_Church_of_St._Paul_(Boston)#/media/File:2017_St._Paul%27s_Cathedral,_Boston,_Massachusetts.jpg) next door. That beautiful church is luckily still there.
