What’s the picture on the left of the Qutb Minar? And on the right of the Lotus Temple?

Cool. Now show the slums behind the buildings.

Rather than labelling Taj Mahal as "foreign" (Mughal), it’s better to emphasize the diversity of India.
However, as non-Indian, I do find popular oversimplified depiction of India using Taj Mahal very annoying, as it masks other places of older and richer histories. Taj Mahal is not even that old compared to history of India.

India should be compared to Europe as a whole rather than to other countries, just because of population

That’s just some monumental examples. You’re making light of the shitty situation of architecture in this country.
This is a more accurate image. Indian architecture is stupid and will continue to be horrible until there is quality architecture education and people actually spend money to pay architects rather than getting contractors to do crap.

Holy shit, that’s beautiful

India have more population than some continents and an architectural history of over 3000 years. I think "what indian architecture actually looks like" doesn’t give justice either because you forget about many periods in history, including the contemporality.

Panel 12, the colorful tower? I wanna go. That’s a lotta color.

Well, this is more like: "what buildings in India are known worldwide, what buildings are there too."

Lovely photos but you insult the cultural intelligence of your viewer in your title. Just present the photos without the comment.

I mean… The Taj Mahal IS Indian architecture.
Maybe India should make an effort to promote their many incredible sites, like other countries have done. A lot of India’s sites go overlooked simply because nothing has been done to promote them.
