Anybody have any idea what the floors are made of / how they’re treated? It almost looks like concrete to me. Asking as the look is decent and seems durable. Important as my furry friends have a love affair with destroying floors. :/

The entire point of railings is to make it more difficult for someone to fall down the stairs. This one practically incentivizes you to.

What’s with the stairway being the focus point of that otherwise beautiful apartment? Odd choice for something like that. You always have to be cognizant of highlighting only the things that if perfectly done enhance the room. No matter how well done, that stairway is always going to be a utilitarian piece that should blend in and not draw the eye in.
