Build at the beginning of 14th century. Damaged by Hussites in 1426. Emperor Ferdinand III. decided to make it “cursed castle” = castle was banned from reconstructions and use because its location was too good and it could endanger emperors power.
Castle was reconstructed between years 1911 and 1916.
It is national historic landmark and protected landscape area surrounding it is named after it.
